I was forced to get a hotel. Because my layover was too long for pudong to allow me to stay in the airport. That was an extra $90 on my trip that was not expected. Not very impressed with the no response from your company as well as china eastern said to take it up with you. I understand other customs and get laws etc but you owe me cause really thats a scam yall just pulled making me have a 19 hour layover when there was a flight back to nyc 4 hours after i landed and it wasnt full because i asked if i could get on but they said my ticket was for the next day. Even though it was just a layover and not my point of origin.

The lack of being able to transfer bags on flights within the same airline (China Eastern) and difficulty in dealing with a delayed bag were definite minuses. Food did not taste good and low quality relative to other Chinese airlines.

The first flight to Hongqiao was very delayed meaning that I had less time to travel from Hongqiao Airport to Pudong airport for the second flight to Stockholm. From a 4 hour layover to less than 2 hours! It was very stressful as we were continuously rushing and scared we were going to miss the second flight. Another passenger going to Stockholm from gimpo also had to collect his luggage and re-check in at Pudong which took even more time. I do not recommend this flight route at all!
