Located along the East coast of the US is the capital of the nation, Washington DC. It's an important destination for commerce, finance, international relations and professional associations. This is where you'll find the impressive White House and several museums. There are three airports that serve the Washington DC area. Most domestic flights take off from and land at the Ronald Reagan Washington Airport. The Washington Dulles International airport handles international passenger traffic. It's located in Virginia, approximately 26 miles away from downtown Washington. Flights from Washington DC to various international destinations take off from this airport.

Travelling to Washington, D.C. (Arlington County), VA airport

Passengers who need to catch flights from DC to Miami, have to travel to the Ronald Reagan Washington Airport. This airport is only three miles away from Downtown Washington. It primarily handles all American Airlines flights. The Metrorail system transports passengers to Terminal B and C at the airport. Passengers traveling from Washington, Maryland and Virginia have the option of using the Metrorail to travel to the airport. When the Metrorail is not in operation, passengers can use the Metrobus service to the airport. The Metrobus operates early in the morning on weekends, making it easy for passengers to travel within the city.

Reaching Miami

There are many attractions to choose from in magical Miami. Drop by the Pérez Art Museum, the Wolfsonian-FIU and the Haitian Heritage Museum to set your eyes on some marvelous exhibits. If you're looking for some late night fun, visit the Rum Line tikki bar, the Rose Bar or The Broken Shaker to indulge yourself in music and cocktails. Getting to the city center

Flights to Miami from Washington DC arrive at the Miami International Airport. People traveling by bus can hop on to a Metrobus or a Greyhound bus from the airport to reach various parts of the city. Routes 37, 42, 57 and Route 150 Beach Airport Express serve the Miami airport. Passengers traveling by rail, need to ride the Metrorail Orange Line to travel to places in the Miami area. In addition to this, passengers have the option of using the Tri-Rail. The Tri-Rail is perfect from those traveling from Miami International Airport to Fort Lauderdale or West Palm Beach. Those traveling to Miami Central Station from MIA could catch the free MiamiMover transit system.
