Oslo Airport Gardermoen is the largest international airport in Norway, serving millions of passengers every year to and from the capital. The airport hosts several major airlines, which operate regular flights from Oslo to Amsterdam. It is the operating base of one of the largest low-cost carriers in Europe, Norwegian Air.

You can use the Flytoget Airport Express Train, which departs from Oslo Central Station for the airport. The bus service, Flybussen, is also available all day and departs from Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel via Oslo Bus Terminal, with connections at other stops and arrives in 40-50 minutes. You can also take the NSB train to the airport from the city center. The airport offers effective parking facilities, if you would like to drive your own car. Reaching Amsterdam

The fascinating capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam is a prehistoric city that blends remarkable culture with connecting canals and pulsating nightlife. The canal rings forming the center of the city gives you a feeling of freedom and calm. A ride in a boat along the canals or cycling on the streets is a good way to discover the thrills of the city.

At the Rijksmuseum, you will find world renowned paintings such as Vermeer's The Milkmaid and a number of others. At Keukenhof, the biggest and most famous garden of flowers in the world, you can take in the beauty of tulips in the months of March to May.

Getting to the city center

Flights from Oslo arrive at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol which is located only twenty minutes from Amsterdam city. If you choose the reliable train service, tickets are available at the arrivals level desk or from the yellow machines. The trains leave from the three platforms on the floor below the airport terminal; the trip lasts approximately 10 - 15 minutes.

To use the bus, locate the station outside the main entrance to arrivals. The buses make up to five stops with the journey duration being 30 minutes. If you have significant luggage, a taxi may be more comfortable but only consider the ones in the queue outside the main entrance to arrivals, not a random one.
