The hypnotizing city of New York is the largest in the USA and is connected to the world via three airports, all built beautifully and efficiently connected to the city. JFK International Airport (JFK) caters primarily to international flights and is the fifth busiest airport in the US. La Guardia Airport (LGA) is mainly for domestic flights and is the closest to Manhattan (eight miles), while Newark International Airport (EWR) caters to both international and domestic flights but is farther away than the other two in New Jersey. It makes up for the distance by being more developed and less crowded. Flights from New York to Los Angeles mostly leave from either JFK or LGA.
To get from New York to LAX you'll have to go to JFK airport or La Guardia, which are both connected to the city center through Subways, AirTrain, Shuttles, NYC Airport buses and cabs. The best route from the city is to take the NYC Airporter buses at around $13-$17 one-way from Grand Central Station, Penn Station, or the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Other shuttle services are also available (SuperShuttle, Express Shuttle). A cheaper way (around $7-8) is to catch the AirTrain to JFK from the Subway station which has stops all over NYC. The AirTrain provides free transportation all over the airport. Taxis cost around $50-$55 to JFK and around $37 to LGA.
Los Angeles is a breathtaking blend of natural and city life. With its serene beaches and noisy roads, it holds everything you need to let loose. Cultural attractions, such as The Bradbury Centre and Getty Centre in Brentwood, are just two to name. For those who are suckers for architecture, Exposition Park's Rose Garden and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angel are a treat. The NoHo Arts district holds The Chandler Outdoor Gallery for urban art lovers, and for literary people, LA houses literary landmarks such as San Pedro and Hollywood Boulevard. The city can keep you occupied for as long as you stay, and traveling is also easy with subways.
Flights to Los Angeles from New York land at the LA International Airport (LAX). There are numerous options to get to the city center from there. The most popular service is the FlyAway bus which stops at every LAX terminal and takes passengers to Union Station which connects to every other place in LA; this would take around 45 minutes. Several buses from LAX parking lot C leave for downtown LA including Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, Torrance Transit and Culver City Bus Lines. These usually take over an hour since LA is famous for crowded roads. Uber and Lyft are other available options.
