Acapulco International Airport, officially known as General Juan N. Álvarez International Airport, is the region's main airport. The airport has two terminals and handles regular flights to Mexico City as well as flights to other airports in Mexico, the US and Canada.
Acapulco International Airport is located approximately 16 miles from the city center.
There are a number of ways to travel between the airport and the city center. You can take a taxi from arrivals that takes around 20-30 minutes to get you to the city center. Alternatively, there is an airport shuttle bus, or you can rent a car from one of the many agencies that are available at the airport.
