The city of Miami is a mix of vibrant cultures. It is an important hub for commercial and finance activities as well as a center of education and culture. It is served by the Miami International Airport (MIA) which is one of the busiest airports in the US and the world. Among US airports, it is ranked 1st in international freight and 2nd in international passengers. MIA is equipped with four each of runways and terminals. It is home to 107 carriers operating 161 nonstop and five one-stop flights. The airport offers a hotel onsite with 259 rooms as well as over 8,000 parking spaces. Standard amenities include cash machines, lounges, shops and restaurants.

Travelling to Miami airport

There are several ways to go to MIA so you can board flights from Miami to Las Vegas on time, with taxis being the quickest and most convenient. Do check with your hotel if there are shuttles (courtesy or paid) going to MIA. Several bus routes (7, 37, 42, 57, J, 150, 238 and 297) go to the airport and the Miami Beach Airport Flyer (bus) links Miami Beach and Miami Intermodal Center (MIC). You can also make use of shared ride services or use the Tri-Rail (from downtown, go to Miami Central Station). For handicapped or passengers with disabilities, the Special Transportation Service (STS) provides paratransit services.

Reaching Las Vegas

Las Vegas is an oasis of delights, from its lively casino hotels to countless performances that go on day or night. There are also theme parks and outdoor recreation activities for all ages. Getting to the city center

Flights to Las Vegas touch down at the McCarran International Airport. To get to downtown Vegas, the quickest way is to take a taxi. There are 10 taxi companies serving the airport. If you are driving a rental car, The Strip is just 2 miles away and downtown is 15 miles. It is accessible via I-215, Russell Road or Tropicana Avenue. Inter-city shuttle services are available from the airport to the city and destinations outside of Las Vegas. There are also bus services from the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC). Take routes 108, 109, Westcliff Airport Express (WAX) and Centennial Express.
