Flights from Los Angeles

Los Angeles is constantly evolving even in its cultural display demonstrable in the recent opening of The Broad, a museum displaying works from prominent artists. Los Angeles International Airport is considered as one of the busiest airports in the United States due to large number of passengers using it annually.

The airport is famous for its amazing infrastructure and well-appointed terminals. Several airlines such as Air France, Iberia, American Airlines and others operate flights from Los Angeles to Madrid and some other international destinations. LAX is well organized and comfortable, making travelers feel at home. Shops and dining options, Wi-Fi connectivity and other unique features are available at the airport.

Travelling to Los Angeles airport

You need to get to the airport at least two hours before your flight to allow you to check in and avoid a last-minute rush. You can use the shuttle, Metro Rail, FlyAway bus, taxis or you can rent a car and drive yourself.

If you are leaving from Downtown L.A., Koreatown or Chinatown, Little Tokyo and Pasadena, you can opt for the Metro Rail to transport you to Union Station. From there, you can take the FlyAway bus straight to the airport. Unlike most other US cities, taxis are not usually flagged down. You will have to make a call and choose from the authorized taxi companies.

Reaching Madrid

With the city's amazing collection of delights, it is bound to overwhelm you on a first visit. However, you can easily divide your time between all the activities, from basking in the striking parks to visiting the world class museums and royal palaces.

You can go back in time to experience the thrills of the Plaza Mayor, Madrid's most famous square or you can just revel in a city that never sleeps. For the soccer lover and fan, a tour of Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the home of the Real Madrid team will leave you amazed. At the Palacio Real, you will find one of the most magnificent palaces across Western Europe.

Getting to the city center

The Madrid–Barajas Airport is the major airport serving the city of Madrid. To get to the city center, you can use the metro, bus, train or taxi. Use metro line 8 in any of the terminals to reach Madrid Metro at the city center. The trip lasts around 15 minutes and you can transfer to metro lines 6 or 10 to go further.

There are also airport buses with only three stops: Plaza de Cibeles, the corner of O'Donnell and Doctor Esquerdo. To use the train to get to the city center, take the Metro from Terminal T4 which stops at Chamartín, Nuevos Ministerios, Atocha or Príncipe Pío stations.
