Chicago, a city located within the State of Illinois is a busy hot spot for commerce, technology and transportation. The two airports that serve the city include the O'Hare International Airport and the Midway International Airport. United Airlines has its headquarters in this windy city. The O' Hare International Airport is located towards the north-west, 17 miles away from the city center, while the Midway International Airport is located eight miles away from the city center towards the south-west. Since the city is a transportation hub, both airports see flocks of passengers every day. Flights from Chicago to Las Vegas depart from both airports in the city.

Travelling to Chicago airport

Passengers travelling on flights from Chicago to Las Vegas have the option of using Pace buses, Metra and the CTA to travel to O'Hare. Passengers traveling by train need to take the North Central Service and get off at the O'Hare Transfer Station. There's also a train that runs daily from Union Station to O' Hare Transfer Station. Pace Bus Routes 250 and 330 serve passengers heading to and from Chicago O'Hare airport. For those looking for transfers between the two airports, the Blue Line train comes in handy. Train services on this line are available from Terminal 2 at O'Hare. The Orange Line transports passengers from the Loop to Midway International Airport.

Reaching Las Vegas

What have you heard about Las Vegas? Most of it is probably true. It's flashy, busy, bursting with energy and is liberating to many. Take your pick from the casinos located on the strip, watch the fountains dance at the Bellagio, and treat yourself to some retail therapy at The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. Still got plenty of energy? Take a 30-minute ride on the High Roller. It gives you a grand view of the city 550 feet off the ground. Do you like being airborne? The Vegas Indoor Skydiving centre is for you. Don't forget to catch a burlesque show before you leave to increase your desire to stay a little longer.

Getting to the city center

Chicago to Vegas flights arrive at the McCarran International Airport. Passengers can choose from several inter-city shuttles, buses, taxis and rental car operator to get to their final destination. The RTC offers bus services from Terminal 1 and 3. Routes 108 and 109 serve passengers at Terminal 1. Those heading downtown from Terminal 3 can take the Westcliff Airport Express. Passengers have to make RTC reservations online to use these bus services. Those who want to travel between different casinos and hotels along the strip can count on the monorail system. Some hotels also offer free tram services.
