Flights from Philadelphia

Philadelphia is Pennsylvania's largest city and renowned for its revolutionary monuments such as the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where annually millions of people queue to get a glimpse of the iconic birthplace of American democracy. Philadelphia International Airport is the main gateway to the city and its surrounding area, with millions of travelers flying out of and into the city every year.

There are several direct flights from Philadelphia to Atlanta and connecting flights via Washington D.C., Raleigh, and Charlotte. The airport is located about seven miles from the city center. Philadelphia Airport consists of seven terminals, which feature a wide range of services and facilities including dining outlets, shops and banks.

Travelling to Philadelphia airport

The city is mainly served by the Philadelphia International Airport. The most cost effective way to reach the airport is via SEPTA, Airport Regional Rail Train. You can board the train at the downtown station. It's cheaper getting the ticket ahead of your ride to the airport as a surcharge is payable when you purchase the ticket onboard.

The airport line runs every day of the week. The train stops at each of the Terminals A to F, so you won't require a connecting bus. Philadelphia Airport is also served by the bus transit service via the Route 37 and Route 108 buses.

Reaching Atlanta

On getting to Atlanta, you may be overwhelmed with a lot of exciting activities and amazing places to visit. At the Georgia Aquarium, you can explore over 500 species that live in fresh and marine water. The Atlanta History Center exposes you to the rich heritage of Georgia history.

At Watershed on Peachtree, a restaurant in the Brookwood neighborhood, you can enjoy a blend of traditional and contemporary cuisines. Getting to the city center

The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the major commercial airport serving the city. Atlanta's public transportation system is extensive and well structured. Therefore, it is easy to reach the city center using the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) trains and buses.

The MARTA rail line station is situated at the west end of the airport, close to the Ground Transportation area. You should choose either the Red or Yellow Line depending on your destination. Get the reusable Breeze card from the machines at the station to gain access to the train. The Atlanta Bus Service also leaves for downtown Atlanta every 15 minutes. Taxis are available outside the airport terminals.
