The New York Airport, known as John F. Kennedy Airport, is in Queens town and is just 12 miles southeast from Lower Manhattan. It is one of the major international airports in the region and mostly serves major international flights. The airport has six passenger terminals with 128 gates that cater to more than 90 airlines with nonstop flights to a vast number of countries. The terminals are connected by the AirTrain, access roads or by shuttle bus. If you want to travel to Kiev, you will find many direct flights from New York to Kiev at good fares.

Travelling to New York airport

The best way to travel to the JFK is by MTA subways and buses that connect to AirTrain. The AirTrain serves all terminals, car rental facilities, parking lots and hotel shuttle areas. For a more comfortable journey to the airport you can opt for a taxi, shuttle or van service, but look out for traffic at peak times. In case you are driving by yourself, you can park at one of the parking lots at the airport. You have short term parking garages Green, Yellow, Orange, Blue and Red garages located adjacent to Terminal 1 - 8. The long term parking garage Lot 9 is approximately four miles away from Terminals 1 - 8.

Getting to the city center

All flights to Kiev from New York land at the Boryspil International Airport located approximately 22 miles from the city center. There are three terminals B, D and F. Most international flights arrive at D terminal. To get to the city center, you can take a Skybus between each terminal and on the southern side of the Center Railway station. Here you get the Metro that reaches you directly to the city center. You get taxis at the exit of the airport to reach the city center. Make sure to fix the price before you hire one. The other is the Zhulyany Airport located approximately five miles from city center mainly served by budget airlines.
