Going to and from the airports

Flights from New York

Located towards the northeast of the US is New York. A densely populated, thriving economic hub. There are three airports that serve New York City. These include John F. Kennedy International Airport, LaGuardia Airport and the Newark Liberty International Airport. Millions of passengers frequent LaGuardia and JFK every year. JFK in particular serves thousands of international passengers each day.

JFK has six terminals while LaGuardia has four. Newark Liberty has three terminals. Terminal B at Newark handles international carriers while Terminal A handles domestic and Canadian flights. Flights to Dallas from New York take approximately three and a half to four hours.

Travelling to New York airport

If you hop on a train on the North East Corridor, you'll have the option of using the free connecting monorail system to travel to Newark Liberty International Airport. You could also drive to the airport or take a van ride. If you're traveling to LaGuardia from Manhattan or Queens, take the New York City bus or subway. Buses will drop you off at the departure level in Terminal B. JFK is well connected. You can either use the subway, the bus or AirTrain to travel to the airport and catch a flight from New York to Dallas. AirTrain connects you to the subway and the bus stops located around the JFK airport.

Reaching Dallas

No trip to Dallas is complete without a visit to the zoo. It's one of the largest in the US. It's educational and entertaining, and it's ideal for people of all age groups. If you fancy a pair of designer shoes or a bag, head to Galleria Dallas; it offers you the best retail therapy in the city. Choose from high end boutiques, upscale restaurants and much more. If you would like a lesson in history, head straight to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Also visit the Reunion Tower to see what the city looks like from up high.

Getting to the city center

Tickets from Dallas to New York set you back a couple of hundred dollars. You will, however, cherish your vacation in the city. The city has two airports, namely Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field. To go downtown by train, head to the Centerport/DFW Airport Station and take the Trinity Railway Express. You could also use a DART bus to go to Irving, a suburb between Dallas and Fort Worth. If you want to travel from Dallas Love Field to downtown Dallas, you could either hire a taxi, rent a car or use a DART bus service. The DART bus stop is located on the lower level of the airport.
