Going to and from the airports

Flights from Los Angeles

The city of angels – or Los Angeles – is a multicultural and a lively urban center. It is served by two airports: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and LA/Ontario International Airport. LAX is the 7th busiest airport in the world and the 3rd in the US. It offers 742 non-stop flights daily to 101 US cities. The airport has also 1,289 nonstop flights to 77 cities in 42 countries operated by 63 airlines. It is equipped with nine terminals and four runways. LA/Ontario has two each of runways and terminals, which make 61 flight departures per day possible. Other amenities at the airport include dining spots, shops and parking.

Travelling to Los Angeles airport

Getting to either of the two airports is hassle-free as there are several forms of transportation offered. From downtown LA, you can take a taxicab if you are pressed for time to catch flights from Los Angeles to Paris. LAX airport offers a direct bus service on the FlyAway that you can board at Union Station. Other means of reaching the airport include shuttles, vans, rental cars, light rail and shared rides. LA/Ontario is accessible by taxi, chartered bus and van as well as chauffeured limousine. If driving a rental car, take the San Bernardino freeway or IS 10 east and get out at Archibald Avenue then follow signs to the airport.

Reaching Paris

You can never get enough of Paris from its refined cuisine to beautiful landmarks. There is something in the air that makes you feel you are in a different world when you are in Paris. Admire masterpieces by celebrated artists at the Louvre, gape at the Mona Lisa like everyone else or trace the history of Masonry at the Ile-de-la-Cite. Relive the bohemian lifestyle at the Latin Quarter or spend a day at the Montmartre for the arts. From impressive architecture to busy open markets, Paris is a place that you will keep coming back to whether it's the food, the romantic atmosphere or the elegant people that draw you in.

Getting to the city center

If traveling to Paris by air, you will land at one of two airports serving the city: Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport or Paris Orly Airport. To reach downtown from CDG, you can take the train (RER B or SNCF) or a taxi. Shuttles and shared rides are also available as well as buses (Routes 350 or 351, Le Bus Direct Lines 2 & 4, Roissybus). Orly Airport is closer to Paris center and you can reach the city by using RER Line B (train), Orlyval (light metro), Orybus (shuttle) or buses (route 183, Le Bus Direct Line 1). It is connected to the highway using the A106 which is an extension of the A6.
