Los Angeles is where the Angels of Anaheim walk among the Stars of Hollywood. It is no wonder that Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is ranked as one of the top ten busiest airports in the world. With nine terminals, including the Tom Bradley International Terminal, LAX services hundreds of flights in and out of the United States daily.
LAX started as a general aviation field in 1928 and has undergone vast modernization and expansion projects over the decades. With its very own art exhibitions, shops, restaurants and courtesy shuttle services between terminals, flights to Dallas from Los Angeles are just a hop, skip and a jump away.
LAX is situated southwest of Downtown Los Angeles, on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, and is nestled northwest of the intersection of I-405 and I-105. The airport is sandwiched to the south of the beautiful neighborhood of Westchester and the north of the beach city of El Segundo.
Apart from public transportation, such as taxis and shared rides, your trip from Los Angeles to Dallas can start with the daily LAX FlyAway buses. There are regularly scheduled, round trips between locations within Los Angeles and each terminal. The Metro Green Line Aviation Station provides free shuttle buses for those who come by subway.
When it comes to scale, Dallas is the ninth largest city in America and the third in Texas. It is the birth place of the integrated circuit computer chip, also known as the microchip, the home of celebrities and the site of the Trinity River Corridor Project, which will rival New York's Central Park in size ten-fold.
Dallas offers much in shopping, night life and unique entertainment. Have you ever been to a jousting tournament? Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament is a unique venue that offers feasts and epic battles. How About Masque, the luxury lounge boutique and night club where themed staff serve you as you enjoy the entertainment?
Flights from Los Angeles are expected to land at either one of two airports. Dallas Love Field Airport, which has two terminals, is closer and is situated to the northwest of Uptown Dallas. Dallas Ft Worth International Airport, with five terminals, is further northwest and halfway between Dallas and the city of Fort Worth.
Both airports feature convenient parking lots, taxi stands and rental cars. The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) rail service can be reached from both airports and runs through many sights and landmarks. Ft Worth International Airport has an added service with the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) and runs between Fort Worth and Dallas while making several convenient sightseeing stops.
