Its primary airport, the LA International airport (LAX), happens to be one of the largest in the USA and the busiest in California. Terminal one is as big as the entire Long Beach airport.
Flights from LAX connect to 87 domestic and 69 international destinations. The airport is known as the gateway to the Pacific Rim and is located in Southwestern LA. It operates with nine terminals arranged in a U-shape, all connected by shuttles.
