Going to and from the airports

Harare International Airport is the main and largest airport in Zimbabwe. It offers both domestic and international flights to destinations such as Dubai, London, Beijing and Johannesburg. Harare Airport has one terminal building and an assortment of facilities that will put you at ease while you wait for your plane. Facilities, such as restaurants and Wi-Fi, will offer a pleasant distraction. Johannesburg bound? Cheap flights from Harare to Johannesburg will not break your budget. An interesting fact about Harare International Airport is the fact that it has a runway that is just shy of 4800 km long and approximately 46m wide, which is said to be the longest in Africa.

Travelling to Harare airport

Situated in the south of Harare, approximately 15km from the city centre, getting to the airport is not daunting. You could hail a taxi/minibus, taxi or a cab that will take you to the airport. Alternatively, you could use coaches that go to and from the airport.

If taxis or coaches don't sound like your cup of tea, you could use shuttle services. There are plenty to choose from that will cater to your budgetary needs. Getting to the city center

Harare to Johannesburg flights will land directly at OR Tambo International Airport. OR Tambo Airport is the biggest airport in Africa –and the busiest at that! Getting to Johannesburg city from the airport is no hassle at all. Various transport options are available. You can get the Gautrain from the airport to designated areas (such as Park Station, Rosebank, Sandton, etc.).

You could also get an Uber taxi by downloading the Uber App and outlining your location and designated destination. If Uber is not an option for you, you could get a meter taxi which you will find at the arrivals area on the outside of the airport. Jo'burg awaits you!
