Travelling to Frankfurt airport

Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) is accessible using a variety of transport options. The S-Bahn is an efficient transport system that serves the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region. To get to the airport, take the S8 commuter train from Frankfurt Central Station; the journey will last 12 minutes. Another option is to get in a cab if shuttle services to the airport are not offered by the hotel. If you are on flights from Frankfurt to Milan, driving in a private or rental car is also quick as the airport is well-connected to the motorways. From downtown to FRA by car will take you 15 minutes via the A3 and A5.

Reaching Milan

For art, design and history lovers, Milan is paradise; from the impressive Duomo with its flying buttresses and spires to the Quadrilatero d'Oro or the Golden Quad which is a shopping district. Admire the private collection of paintings, porcelain and tapestries at the Museo Poldi Pezzoli. Not to be missed is the iconic 'The Last Supper' by Leonardo da Vinci displayed at the Dominican convent beside the Santa Maria dell Grazie church. For shoppers, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a beautiful shopping arcade with elegant boutiques and cafes. Patrons of the night should head to Corso Como where you can find posh bars, restaurants and stores, while design lovers should visit the Isola Design District.

Getting to the city center

Milan is served by three airports: Malpensa airport, Linate Airport and Orio al Serio Airport. Downtown Milan is just 7km from Linate and is accessible by bus (Urban line 73), coach (Milano Lambrate station and Piazza Dateo), taxi and shared ride services. From Malpensa, you can drive on the A8 or A4 to go to the city. You can also take the train from the airport to Milan Central Station. Other transport options again include coach, taxi and car sharing. To get to Milan from Orio al Serio Airport, you can go by car or take the bus to Milan Central Railway Station.
