Going to and from the airports

Flights from Boston

Boston, the capital of Massachusetts, is a historically grounded city with the first public school, public park, subway, lighthouse, public beach all built in the country. Boston Airport, now popularly known as Logan International Airport (BOS), is one of the 20 busiest airports of America. It is located in East Boston and caters to domestic and international flights in and out of the wider New England Area. Traveling from Boston to Miami takes around 4-5 hours by plane.

Logan International Airport serves approximately 26 million passengers a year. It houses four active terminals (A, B, C, E) with six hubs. The terminals are connected through moving walkways, shuttles, and the MBTA Silver Line.

Travelling to Boston airport

There are 106 cities all over the world with nonstop flights from Boston. The Logan International Airport is thus very busy and very easily accessible from the city, being only 3 miles from downtown. One of the best ways is the MBTA's Silver Line SL-1 from the terminals to South Station in the financial district of downtown Boston. From there, you can take Amtrak, Acela, MBTA rapid transit, and MBTA commuter rail to other destinations. MBTA also provides a water shuttle to downtown Boston, and trains also leave from Airport Station. Shared van services and taxis are also considerable options to the airport.

Reaching Miami

Think of Miami and its trendy Art Deco architecture will come to mind along with its sprawling beaches of white sand. It's a strange amalgam; the city has modernity and vintage-ness mixed together to create a city full of tourist spots. From the neighborhood of Wynwood; full of street art, murals and graffiti, to the rooftop bars and South Beach—Miami has just what you need to tickle your holiday cravings. Visit the Everglades National Park and the Jungle Island, explore the countless museums and art galleries to catch the Miami fever; this is one fever you won't want a cure for.

Getting to the city center

Flights to Miami from Boston land at either Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) or Miami International Airport (MIA). FLL is located in Broward county very near Fort Lauderdale Beach. It is connected to Miami by Tri-Rail (around 4$), Taxis (around 67$-72$) and Go Airport Shuttle (around 21$-23$). To catch the Tri-Rail, you'll have to walk to the bus stop and catch a Tri-Rail shuttle to the Tri-Rail station, and from there to MIA.

Getting to Miami city centre from MIA is easy. You can take the MetroMover to the Central Station and then either the MetroRail (15min) or Metrobus to downtown. Shared Van services such as SuperShuttle (10$-16$) are another option, as are Uber and Lyft.
