Travelling to Austin, TX airport

Flying from Austin to San Francisco can take under four hours depending on the flight and number of stopovers. To reach the airport, you can opt for one of several modes of transport: metro bus, shuttle, limousine, taxi or shared ride. From downtown Austin, take the 100-Airport Flyer which is a regular metro service that will get you to the airport in about half an hour. Getting to the city center

To reach the city center, you can ride the AirTrain (use the red line) which runs a regular service between the terminals and BART station. Get off at Millbrae station and, from there, you can use Caltrain. SamTrans public bus service operates on routes serving parts of San Francisco and San Mateo county. If you are picking up a rental vehicle, take the blue line of the AirTrain to travel to the car hire center. Taxis, limousines and shared vans are also offered for the convenience of passengers.
