Cancun, one of the best known Mexican cities, is famous for its beautiful beaches, various resorts, night clubs and high-rise hotels. There are a number of daily flights from Cancun to Miami throughout the day, be it a direct or a multi stop flight.

Cancun International airport is approximately 7.5 miles from downtown and 12.5 miles from the hotel zone. It is the second biggest and busiest airport of Mexico. Passenger terminals (T1/T2/T3) are connected by the free shuttle service. T2 caters to all domestic and some international airlines. T3 caters to international flights only and all tourist need to surrender their tourist card before leaving the country.

Travelling to Cancun airport

There are a number of ground transport options to reach the Cancun airport, and using your own vehicle is the fastest option with the parking lot located right at the entrance of the airport or the rental car returns on the airport itself. Public transport like taxis, local buses, or limousine services will also get you to the airport.

A number of hotels from the hotel zone have permissions to run their own shuttle services between the hotel and the airport. These buses can offer you a stress-free ride for Cancun flight departures. You can also reserve a black SUV shuttle or an airport Super Shuttle for a convenient door-to-door ride to the airport.

Reaching Miami

Miami at Florida's southeastern tip has a Cuban outlook reflected in its cafes and cigar shops. It is one of the world's most popular tourist spots offering endless luxury designer shopping options, fancy nightlife and fine dining options. It's a prime attraction with its sunny climate and its location between the Atlantic Ocean and the Biscayne Bay. There are plentiful aquatic opportunities like skin diving, fishing, swimming, water skiing, and boating as well. Getting to the city center

You can find options for cheap travel from Cancun to Miami if you plan your trip in advance. On arrival at the airport after custom clearance on Terminal J or Terminal D, use the Skyride on the third level to connect to MIA mover station to get to the airport Central Station. From here, take a MetroBus, MetroRail or a rental car to the business district or downtown Miami.

Taxicabs and Super Shuttle vans are available outside the baggage claim area at arrival on the ground level. The rates are posted on the kiosk outside the baggage area. Hotel shuttles are found at the upper level near the departures.
